The Lodge is located in Brander Pass where Robert the Bruce fought Clan
McDougal in 1308. At one end is Loch Awe, (walking distance from the Lodge)
Scotlands longest freshwater Lochs at 25 miles (40km). The pass
is bounded by Ben Cruachan, directly opposite the Lodge.
A path allows walking to the top of Ben Cruachan. The massive Cruachan
Power Station is located inside the mountain. The power station conducts
tours.
Brander lodge has adopted the Ben Cruachan summit walk. We will
register your walk on
the internet all those who have completed the walk, including
any records.
